In the last two lessons you should have become aware of why Russia was ready for Revolution in 1917. A range of factors played a part in the collapse of the Tsar's autocracy.
Many of you have pointed to the fact that he and his actions during WWI were responsible, but how big an impact was Rasputin?
For next Wednesday you have your first major piece of written work to do your question is this:
To what extent was World War One to blame for the fall of autocracy in Russia? (20)
When we meet on Monday we will be looking at what followed Tsardom and will be investigationg the Provisional Government and the Petrograd Soviet, you might like to check these out!
P.S. Look at the You tube videos as they are about the Tsar.

What did we do today ? (2)
What a pair of presentations both quite different in style but it was the passion of Anum and Sukhi that won the day! I think all of us now appreciate the extent to which Henry remained a Cathloic when he died in 1547.
In the second part of the lesson we were assessing the real impact of the reformation Parliament by looking at it's impact. The question that you have to do for Friday is, To what extent did the Reformation Parliament bring about religious change in England? (20)
Make sure that you think about the parliament itself, the reaction to some of the acts and what Henry did between 1536 & 1547. Remember that you can leave tips and suggestions for each other on the blog!

What did we do today (1)?
The man focus of the lesson today was looking at how Protestant England had become by 1547, I think that the answer that all of us came to was not much! The introduction of the 6 articles in 1539 highlighted how traditional religion was in many ways. All of you appreciated that after Henry had broken away from the church he had no real desire to make any further religious changes and to all intents and purposes he remained a Catholic. Remember that the speard of Protestantism also depended greatly on whereabouts in the country you were located. The South East such as Kent was more receptive o the new religion but the North in particular remained strongly Catholic.
For those of you that were away today (Jaini, Jaskiran & Depsi) you have a very important role to play tomorrow. Don't worry you have power!
Also don't forget to watch or set the sky plus for the Tudors tomorrow evening. I know that it's a bit Hollywood but some of it gives you a decent look at what was going on.
Anyway, time for me to get on with other stuff - the race is now on to see who my first follower is!
